Elmo egy nagyon magabiztos, kedves, és kiegyensúlyozott kutya. . Ha valahol megjelenik, nem lehet nem észrevenni. Kedves emberekkel és kutyákkal egyaránt, de nem túl tolakodó. Munkában 100% drive, fókusz, és dinamika jellemzi, otthon viszont tökéletes családi kutya, aki szereti, ha szeretgetik.

Gazdája, Meike sorai Elmóról: Az első sheltiem, nem klasszkiusan sheltie-típus. Ő a legjobb tanárom, aki sokat követel tőlem, de ugyanannyit is ad vissza: következetesség, türelem, pontosság, figyelmesség, kitartás, és gyorsaság. Számára a nap mindig süt. A legerősebben akkor, amikor a szenvedélyének élhet, az agilitynek, ahol mindig 100%-ot nyújt a starttól a célig. Mindig barátságos, magabiztos, és fókuszált. Egy igazi ajándék. Imád úszni és szaladgálni a többiekkel. Otthon ő maga a nyugalom.
