AWC 2022 – Austria

A World Cup is always a great experience. Although the preparation was not smooth to say the least (Gergő’s Achilles tendon ruptured at the last qualification just 5 months ago), the Medium team had a wonderful result this time.
Hungary’s best ever World Championship result: the Hungarian team finished second in both the agility run and the overall!

Gergely Maros and Dance
Evelin Szakál and Sasha
Petra Mészáros and Kiito
Zsombor László and Ark

Bing Cup

4.5 months after tearing his Achilles tendon, Gergő returned to the track for 1 run with Dance. They didn’t forget anything together, after one training session they were back on top and won their class.

Nova training video

The World Championship is coming up and as a reserve team member, I have the privilege to participate in the training sessions of the National Team with Nova. For the time being, Dance is training with me on these occasions while Gergő is rehabilitating, but she is looking forward to getting her own handler back 🙂

Kraft Cup

The previous weekend we competed in the Kraft Cup and I had the opportunity to run with both dogs again. So far I haven’t got much more skilful, but Dance’s routine was enough to save her competition.

A-Team Cup

On the weekend we competed in the A-team cup in Győr. This time Dance got a loan handler, as Gergő is still recovering strongly. And it seems to me that there is still a lot to learn about the mysteries of competing with 2 dogs in same class, but it was a great experience running with both dogs! Dance still saved everything that could have been saved, and is was enough for a J3 2nd and an A3 3rd place now. This weekend it was even more true that the dogs are the best than handler… 🙂
